Capabilities

Several JTAPI packages contain Capabilities interfaces, enabling applications to query the capabilities of certain types of JTAPI objects. The following objects, as well as the corresponding CallCenter and CallControl classes, have Capabilities interfaces:

• Provider
• Terminal
• Address
• Connection
• TerminalConnection
• Agent
• Call

An application can do the following to obtain capability information:

• Query the Provider object to get the default static capabilities of a specific object type
• Query the individual object to get the dynamic capabilities

In both cases, the static and dynamic capabilities in the IBM CallPath Enterprise Toolkit for Java implementation are identical.
